Note: The Idaho Center does not allow outside food or drinks to be brought in, but plenty of food and snacks are available at the concession stands. You may bring empty water bottles and refill them at the drinking fountains. Also, no high-back chairs are allowed. Low-back beach chairs are allowed, blankets are allowed, and there are chairs and bleachers to sit on if you don't want to bring anything.

Welcome to the 2010 God and Country Festival

Make your plans now for the 2010 God and Country Festival on Wednesday, June 30 at the Idaho Center. We are excited to have Needtobreathe as our headline artist this year. Christian artist Meredeth Andrews will also be performing, as well as an exciting lineup of talented local artists, including the Treasure Valley Music Ministers Band, Ryan Stevenson, A Life Set Apart, and Julie Turner.

About Needtobreathe

Let’s just say that Needtobreathe is experiencing nationwide success with hit songs that have made it onto the soundtracks of blockbuster movies and well-watched TV shows.

The band’s song “More Time” was featured in the soundtrack of the 2007 film “P.S. I Love You”, and numerous Needtobreathe songs have been used on television coverage and for movies. ESPN used the song “Streets of Gold” from The Heat during the network’s coverage of the 2007 Ford 400. The show “The Hills” used “We Could Run Away”. Fox TV promoted its Monday night lineup for the shows Prison Break and K-Ville with the song “Nothing Left to Lose”. Fox Sports used “Don’t Wait for Daylight” during their coverage of the 2006 World Series. The song “Shine On” has seen the most uses, having been played on the MTV show “Newport Harbor”; “Oprah’s Big Give”; the movie “Employee of the Month”; the movie To Save a Life; and in 2008, the song featured in the WWE Tribute to the Troops special. In August 2009, the song “These Hard Times” from the band’s album The Outsiders was featured in promos for a new NBC show, Mercy. Their song “Nothing Left to Lose” was featured in trailers for the movie “Extraordinary Measures” released January 2010. In addition, their song “Something Beautiful” is featured in the soundtrack of the film “When In Rome” and on the 21st episode of the first season of “Cougar Town.”

We have a special theme this year: honoring our nation’s WW II Veterans. Thank you so much for your service! At the God and Country Festival, we understand that freedom is never free. It is one of the costliest things in the world to obtain, yet it is one of the most undervalued things Americans have. At the God and Country Festival, we believe the government’s role is not to grant freedom, but to preserve and protect the freedom that God Himself granted to mankind.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…

About the Treasure Valley Music Ministers Band

The Music Ministers Band is made up of Treasure Valley worship leaders who come together in unity to worship God. Band members this year include Jesse Shuster, Scott Riggan, Mark Thornton, Andy Hendley, Doug Connelly, Ryan Scott, Ernie Garza, Feliena Chaulk and Nate Fowler.
